Ranchi Cancer Hospital and Research Centre celebrates with tree plantation drive
For the doctors and staff members of Ranchi Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, the evening of June 5, 2024 was dedicated to nurturing nature and contributing to the cause of environment. Celebrating World Environment Day on the campus of the institution, the medicos participated in a tree plantation drive. The participants came together to plant a variety of trees, including evergreens like peepal, neem and bargad, as well as aesthetic plants like areca palm. The initiative reflects RCHRC’s ongoing commitment to a greener future.
RCHRC has consistently advocated for climate action and environmental sustainability. The hospital’s lush green premises, including a special herb garden, provide a serene environment that benefits both patients and staff members by improving the quality of air as well as providing a soothing effect to promote a sense of calm and peace.
Consistent with RCHRC’s commitment to environmental stewardship, the tree plantation event also created awareness about nurturing nature among all internal stakeholders. The initiative not only contributed to the hospital’s green landscape but also reinforced the importance of collective effort in preserving the environment.
The maintenance department was lauded for organising the well-coordinated and impactful gathering. Their efforts ensured a successful event that resonated with RCHRC’s mission to foster a healthier, greener community.
