Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojna (MM-JAY)

The Government of India launched the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) in September 2018 with the aim of making quality healthcare services accessible to the poor and underprivileged. PM-JAY offers free health insurance coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh for secondary and tertiary healthcare to every eligible family. This ambitious programme stands as the world’s largest health coverage initiative, benefitting over 12 crore families.

Ranchi Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (RCHRC) is now empanelled with PM-JAY MM-JAY and provides comprehensive cancer care to all eligible beneficiaries. This initiative marks a significant step towards bridging the cancer care gap in Jharkhand – a state that bears one of the highest burdens of the disease in the country.

Eligible beneficiaries* can avail the following facilities on a cashless basis under the MM-JAY scheme:

1) Medical examination, treatment, and consultation
2) Pre-hospitalisation care
3) Pharmaceuticals and other healthcare supplies
4) Standard and intensive medical care
5) Diagnostic and laboratory analyses
