RCHRC honours the unwavering commitment and service of doctors on National Doctor’s Day

A doctor’s efforts and selflessness towards their patients often gets overlooked due to the demands of medical profession. RCHRC celebrates National Doctor’s Day by making their employees feel special.

Ranchi Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (RCHRC) celebrated National Doctors' Day on July 1, 2024 with great fervour, paying homage to the illustrious Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy on his birth and death anniversary. Dr Roy's legacy as a dedicated physician and visionary leader continues to inspire and influence the medical community even today. Every doctor was greeted at the hospital with flowers, chocolates, and heartfelt cards – a beautiful gesture of gratitude acknowledging their relentless commitment to patient care and saving lives. A special lunch was organised for all the employees, creating a sense of camaraderie and fostering a spirit of togetherness.

Programmes in the evening were organised with a specific purpose of honouring the doctors. Padmashree Dr Rajendra Badwe, Chief Executive of Tata Cancer Care Foundation (TCCF), delivered a heartfelt address to all the hospitals connected via a virtual MS Teams call. With RCHRC, SVICCAR, COP, and TCCF, coming together, it became a momentous occasion in celebrating the remarkable contribution of the medical fraternity.

The gathering was addressed by Dr Kailash Sharma and Dr Anita Borges, who delivered inspiring speeches, highlighting the challenges faced by the medical field and the unwavering determination of doctors in their pursuit of excellence. The evening continued with each unit head expressing their gratitude and acknowledging the efforts of the doctors within their respective teams. This paved the way for individual felicitation, where each doctor was recognised and applauded for their dedication and excellence in patient care. The evening concluded on a joyful note with cake, snacks, and a lively photoshoot capturing the memorable moments of camaraderie and unity among the doctors and their colleagues.
