Ranchi Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (RCHRC) recently participated in ‘Udyamyaan’, an exhibition and business meet organised by the Trailblazing Entrepreneurs Federation of India (TEFI). The event aimed to provide a platform for entrepreneurs to connect with fellow small business owners and startups.
The event provided the RCHRC team with an opportunity to highlight the comprehensive cancer care services offered at the hospital. They discussed the importance of proactive healthcare management in preventing illnesses and promoting good health. This approach involves regular check-ups, lifestyle modifications, and early disease detection.
The RCHRC team introduced the audience to the ‘Know Your Health’ programme, a new initiative by Tata Cancer Care Foundation. This initiative encompasses vital baseline tests for both men and women to assess their health and risk factors for lifestyle diseases like hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and common cancers. By identifying potential health risks early on, individuals can make informed decisions and take timely actions to optimise their health and well-being.
A total of 160 people were educated about the importance of cancer care and the role of early detection in improving the health outcomes for those affected by the disease. All the visitors and business owners responded positively, pledging to take proactive measures by going for regular check-ups. They also expressed interest in collaborating with RCHRC to spread awareness about cancer prevention and early detection.
The hospital’s efforts were applauded by the Guest of Honour, Shri Kishore Mantri, President of the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries, and other dignitaries who attended the event.
